The description of product did not say "assembly required", so I erroneously assumed, no assembly. However, it did arrive in pieces, with screws. We had some trouble getting it together, but when finally done, very nice product. Fit the space perfectly, holds wine like I wanted, etc. We spray painted it more, when done - to be a more "white" white. I would do it again. And I am proud of it now. But assembly moments were "anxious". I have no talent in that area.

Had some difficulty with the screws not fitting in one back piece, but a quick trip to the hardware store to buy a longer one fixed it well enough for it to not show when put against the wall. Overall, very sturdy and quite cute. It fits the space perfectly, and I liked how the color fit into my color scheme.
