It looks just like the picture. Assembly is easy, however, I did have a bit of a problem mounting the seat because the holes didn't exactly line up and the gasket around the footrest was cracked. I managed to work around those minor inconveniences. I was also concerned about how it would integrate into the space. I have a very small room. I needed somthing that would be comfortable enough, attractive, yet allow the eye to pass through without softening the space too much. In that respect it fits in well with my intention. It is solid. The height adjustment offers versatility and operates smoothly, and the footrest is comfortable. As for aesthetics and versatility I give it 5 stars, but because of the assembly problems etc., forementioned, I give it a overall rating of 4 stars.
